Presenters: Various Campus, Local, National & International Organizational Partners showcasing opportunities to become involved in peace-related projects and programs across an array of disciplines and perspectives.

3:00pm – 5:00pm     2015 Peace Studies Lecture presented by the Morehouse College Peace Studies Program/Department of Political Science

Location: African American Hall of Fame, Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel (second floor)

Lecturer: Dr. Han Park, Director and University Professor, The Center for the Study of Global Issues (GLOBIS) at the University of Georgia, “Transcending Security for Sustainable Peace.”

8:00am – 5:00pm     Conference on “Fostering Dialogues in Education, Ethics and Nonviolent Peacebuilding: Global Social and Religious Movements Today”

Location: African American Hall of Fame, Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel (second floor)

Conference Overview: The Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel at Morehouse College and the Atlantic Institute, in collaboration with Soka Gakkai International, will host scholars and practitioners presenting four panels to discuss education, ethics and peacebuilding in diverse social and religious movements. The conference aims to show how peace in today’s turbulent world can be achieved through informal, apolitical, educational and grassroots mechanisms. The conference is free but registration is required at http://peacebuildersconference.org/registration/
